Maison Improviste is a place of good taste, sharing, and delightful surprises, located in the heart of the Waregem Racetrack.
People come here to enjoy a good meal, have a nice drink, celebrate something… or simply because they feel like treating themselves. No unnecessary fuss, no need to know the name of every sauce by heart: take a seat, and we’ll take care of the rest.
The restaurant blends French cuisine, international influences, fine seasonal ingredients, and a healthy dose of improvisation. We love to surprise our guests—but always with good taste.

Today, Kirsten and Femke bring the kitchen at Maison Improviste to life every day. They create, prepare, taste, fine-tune, and bring the dishes to life with energy, precision, and their own unique touch.
David spends most of his time in the dining room. He welcomes you, recommends a wine, moves from table to table, sometimes shares a little story, and makes sure everyone feels at home.
But don’t worry: he hasn’t completely abandoned the stove. A sauce to taste, a dish to tweak, an idea to suggest… David always keeps a close eye on what’s happening in the kitchen.
Together, Kirsten, Femke, David, and the entire team make Maison Improviste a lively, warm, and gourmet destination—a place where you don’t just come to reserve a table, but to share a truly special moment.

At Maison Improviste, the cuisine follows the seasons, the day’s fresh arrivals, the team’s whims, and sometimes an idea that pops up between two pots.

The Improviste Menu is ideal for those who like to be guided. Multiple courses, seasonal ingredients, innovative pairings, and the desire to take you on a culinary journey without having to board a plane.
Our à la carte menu also lets you build your meal to suit your tastes, with carefully crafted, generous dishes full of character.
And for those days when you want to go all out, lobster can also make an appearance at the table. Because you don’t always have to wait for a birthday to treat yourself.
Do you have an allergy, a preference, a vegetarian option in mind, or an ingredient you really don’t want on your plate? Let us know in advance. We’ll find a solution—without serving you a boring salad by default.
